"Love me, love you 2.0" emerges as a continuation of the youth exchange "Love me, love you" 2023. The initiative arises due to the success of the 2023 project and the need to disseminate the methodologies and techniques used among youth workers. The project addresses the serious issue of rejection towards the LGBTQIA+ community, highlighting the suicide rate among LGBTQIA+ youth, which is more than double compared to the general population. The initiative adopts a holistic approach, addressing both the internal dimension with tools focused on the intrapersonal realm, "Love me," and the social dimension with techniques aimed at the interpersonal realm, "Love you." In both cases, emotional management, self-acceptance, and the advocacy of values such as empathy and solidarity are addressed. Although the project is aimed at LGBTQIA+ youth workers, at least one from each country, working with youth at risk of social exclusion, it is also open to any professional or youth worker with experience and interest in the project's theme, regardless of personal identity. To provide comprehensive and specific training for youth workers, and as a result of the work of a total of 13 associations (partners from "Love me, love you" 2023, new partners from "Love me, love you 2.0," and Inspire You Association as the host organization), we have structured and divided all content into two stages: the first focused on intrapersonal methodologies and the second on interpersonal methodologies. To achieve this, the following 10 objectives will be worked on: 1. Establish key concepts with participatory workshops on self-love, self-acceptance, and self-esteem. 2. Design and implement a guide session on affective-sexual diversity, integrating the role of the European community. 3. Create new tools and resources like educational tool-kits, incorporating conflict management techniques, active listening, and assertive communication. 4. Promote inclusive strategies that advocate equal opportunities. 5. Encourage civic participation through the exchange of effective social measures, promoting intercultural dialogue, solidarity, and the European community. 6. Introduce techniques of bodily connection for greater physical and emotional well-being. 7. Boost local initiatives and contact networks through intergenerational meetings that promote human rights and the creation of new networks of social support and cooperation. 8. Empower young people through specific workshops to face discrimination situations, with a participatory approach and psychoeducational tools. 9. Raise awareness about our commitment to the environment, including components on nutrition, conscious consumption, and respect for the environment. 10. Develop new local strategies on emotional management, interpersonal skills, and empathy. The primary goal of "Love me, love you 2.0" is to provide young people at risk of social exclusion, especially those facing LGBTQIA+ discrimination, with specific tools and techniques as a key strategy in the fight against discrimination. Social awareness is crucial, but while its effects are expected, equipping discriminated individuals with management skills can significantly reduce the impact on their mental and emotional well-being.
