Objectives

Our overall ambition was to strengthen the mental-health support ecosystem for young people across Europe by empowering the adults who work closest with them—youth workers. In practice, that meant giving youth workers new competences, practical tools and an international peer network so they can recognise mental-health challenges early, act confidently and foster inclusive, intercultural spaces where every young person can thrive. Project objectives 1- Strengthen youth-worker competences on mental-health support, stress management and intercultural inclusion, providing hands-on tools they can apply immediately in their work. 2- Improve the wellbeing of young people by ensuring they have access—through better-prepared youth workers—to empathetic guidance, early assistance and appropriate referrals. 3- Foster an inclusive, non-discriminatory environment that addresses the impact of exclusion on mental health and actively promotes solidarity and cultural diversity. 4- Promote non-formal and informal learning as an effective methodology for mental-health education, intercultural dialogue and the transmission of European values. 5- Facilitate peer learning, skills transfer and international networking, so youth workers continue collaborating and sharing best practice long after the mobility ends. 6- Create sustainable resources—a comprehensive training booklet—to keep tools, exercises and success stories accessible to the wider youth-work community. 7-Promote Erasmus+ opportunities and EU values by showcasing CARE as a model of high-quality youth-worker mobility that prioritises mental wellbeing, social inclusion and European cooperation.
