Objectives

“Go Local” is a training course aiming at empowering ex-European volunteers and people that got inspired by them that are active in their local communities to explore possibilities of setting up local solidarity projects with European dimension. It aims to analyze the concept of solidarity and its local impact and offer detailed and complete information about the possibilities offered by European Solidarity Corps Programme to work on that, focusing on Solidarity Projects. Also, it will put particular emphasis on the philosophy, structure, and characteristics of the Programme. Beyond the lack of information itself, far too often there are difficulties in matching specific ideas and needs with actual opportunities provided by the Programme. Likewise, many organizations and promoters still have trouble recognizing the long-term process of designing, applying for, and managing quality projects. Training objectives: - To present the European Solidarity Corps Programme in the framework of European youth policies and strategies. - To explore the opportunities offered by the European Solidarity Corps Programme, specially Solidarity Projects, focusing on their ability as a vehicle to transmit the common fundamental values to our society. - To stimulate the practice in the management of European projects. - To boost solidarity and learning opportunities within the framework of Non-formal Education. - To enable participants to reflect on their learning and to learn more about Youthpass – the strategy on the recognition of non-formal learning in the youth field, its technical tool to produce Youthpass Certificates, and its application in Solidarity Projects.
