The primary aim of "Listen, communicate, ACT!" was to deepen and expand the collaboration between the youth of Kerava, Finland, and the Regional Council of l'Alt Urgell along with the other Regional Councils of the Alt Pirineu and Aran in Catalonia, Spain. Building upon the previous project "T'escolten? T'escoltem!" from 2023, this initiative sought to further enhance youth participation, demonstrating that their voices are heard and valued. By fostering an environment of mutual understanding and cultural exchange, the project aimed to empower young people to take active roles in their communities and contribute to social projects. What were the objectives of your project? 1. Strengthening Youth Participation: To encourage young people from different regions of Europe to engage in social responsibility and participate actively in their communities. 2. Cultural Exchange and Understanding: To provide opportunities for youth to learn about and appreciate diverse cultural backgrounds, enhancing their empathy, tolerance, and communication skills. 3. Personal Development: To help participants recognize their own strengths, talents, and competencies, fostering a belief in their potential to influence and drive change. 4. Peer-to-Peer Learning: To utilize peer-to-peer methodology, facilitating direct interaction and knowledge exchange among youth and youth workers, enhancing their personal and social development. 5. European Citizenship: To cultivate a stronger sense of European identity and citizenship among participants, promoting the values of intercultural dialogue and eliminating stereotypes. 6. Language and Communication Skills: To improve participants' foreign language skills, boosting their confidence and ability to communicate in a multicultural context. 7. Networking and Collaboration: To build and strengthen networks among young people from different regions, supporting continued collaboration and exchange of ideas. 8. Active Participation in Society: To inspire youth to take active roles in societal issues they care about, developing resilience and the ability to articulate and share their experiences and opinions. By achieving these objectives, the project aimed to create a lasting impact on the participants, equipping them with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to become active, engaged citizens within their local and European communities.
