Adolescence is an important stage of life, which young people must have the necessary requirements and resources to experience. There must be enough safe, professional adults in the living environments of young people who have the time and expertise to meet young people and offer support for their growth. In this project, we focused on developing the skills of youth workers in the framework of experience pedagogy in nature in a safe and prepared conditions. The participants learned non-formal ways to organise different kinds of activities and exercises of experience pedagogy but also tailor actions specifically to the needs of adolescents. First aid, preparation, communication and problem-solving skills in critical and emotionally stressful situations were skills developed in this course. Our objectives were to provide high-quality, non-formal education through experience-based learning and peer-based methods. Special attention was given to equipping youth work professionals with the tools they need to effectively and safely manage various challenges, especially in the area of outdoor first aid. Additionally, we aimed to strengthen international cooperation between organisations in the field of youth work, foster intercultural understanding, and support environmentally friendly practices in youth work.
