The project aimed to offer young people diverse participation and influencing opportunities in sustainability and sustainable development that suit their life situations. The project sought to strengthen young people's civic skills and media literacy, increase awareness of fair world trade, and build community in Eetti where young people feel they belong. A key objective of the project was also to promote young people's action in Europe for sustainable consumption. The project's idea was to select and train young people aged 18-30 who implement concrete influencing actions, spread awareness of sustainability and responsibility, and thus participate in building a more just Finland, Europe, and world. The responsibility influencers' groups aimed to organize 3 activities around the nation during each season, where young volunteers and participants learn to understand the different aspects of responsibility, the European Union's actions in this regard, and are activated to demand concrete actions from companies and decision-makers to promote more sustainable production. Additionally, in the project, the objective of the workshop activities aimed at upper secondary and second-level students was that the school visitors trained in the project would tell about the sustainability transition according to the 'youth to youth' principle. In the project's volunteer activities, the aim was to take into account young people's different strengths and characteristics by offering diverse civic influencing methods that can be engaged in short or long term and participated in throughout Finland. During the project period, we also wanted to develop practices for the participation of underage volunteers and to map the need for English-language volunteer activities. The project aimed to support volunteers' skill development, community spirit, and activity quality through training sessions as well as season opening and closing events. The project's activities were also to be organized taking into account the principles of safer space, inclusivity, accessibility, and non-discrimination. The project also wanted to develop Eetti's volunteer communication and digital platforms together with young people. At the end of the project period, the goal was to achieve a situation where Eetis's volunteer activities form a clear structure from which a young person can easily choose a civic action method suitable for themselves and their life situation. A young person knows how to start as a volunteer, what a volunteer task involves, and where they can get support during the task.
