Objectives

The project “Building bridges, not walls: Intercultural Exploration and Learning” aimed to promote intercultural dialogue, social inclusion and the personal development of young people from Reunion Island (France) and Romania. In the context of a two-phase youth exchange, participants took part in interactive workshops, group discussions, cultural debates and reflection sessions, which enabled them to better understand European citizenship, diversity and cooperation. Project objectives O1. To promote active European citizenship and raise awareness of European values and identity among 24 young people residing in Reunion (France) and Romania during the project implementation period. O2. To develop key skills among young participants (focus on: multilingual skills, cultural awareness and expression, digital skills, personal and social skills, and learning to learn). O3. Improve cross-border collaboration and strengthen the capacity of our partner organizations to implement non-formal educational programs in the European framework throughout the project implementation period. By bringing together young people from different backgrounds in an immersive and collaborative learning environment, the project encouraged the exchange of experiences, strengthened self-confidence and consolidated various social and intercultural skills. Using non-formal education methods, participants explored themes such as inclusion, diversity and European identity, enabling them to acquire the tools necessary for their personal development and future engagement in civic and educational activities.
