Objectives

For eight days, a group of 24 young people aged 18 to 30 participated in an exchange program on the island of La Réunion, focused on sports and healthy eating. The project aimed to raise awareness among participants about the importance of sports and a balanced diet for their overall well-being. The main objective was to promote regular physical activity by showing that sports are essential not only for physical fitness but also for mental health and daily energy levels. At the same time, special attention was given to nutritional education to encourage young people to adopt a balanced diet, rich in fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and good carbohydrates, while reducing processed and sugary foods. The project also highlighted the complementarity between sports and nutrition, explaining that to optimize physical performance and recovery, an appropriate diet is indispensable. One of the objectives was to make participants understand that these healthy habits should not be temporary but become sustainable life choices to improve long-term health. By creating an environment conducive to exchanges between young people from different backgrounds, the project fostered collective motivation and mutual support, encouraging everyone to adopt an active and healthy lifestyle. Practical workshops allowed participants to try out various sports activities and discover simple and balanced recipes, proving that it is easy to integrate sports and healthy eating into daily life. Thus, the overall goal of the project was to promote a healthy lifestyle, combining sports and a balanced diet as key elements of a sustainable and fulfilling life.
