Objectives

The primary goal of this project was to address the barriers that Deaf young people face in accessing and participating in political processes. We aimed to empower Deaf youth workers to motivate and educate their communities about political engagement, foster a sense of political awareness among Deaf youth, and create tools and resources for youth workers to facilitate this engagement. Additionally, we sought to inspire more Deaf individuals to consider political leadership roles by connecting them with potential role models and providing opportunities to develop the necessary skills for advocacy and active citizenship. The main objectives of the project were: To enhance political engagement among Deaf youth by increasing their knowledge of politics and encouraging their participation in political processes. To equip Deaf youth workers with practical tools and resources to motivate Deaf young people to become politically active. To foster role models within the Deaf political community, inspiring Deaf youth to pursue leadership positions and become advocates for their rights.
