The main aim of the “Europe handébat avec les jeunes” project was to put disability and inclusion at the heart of the European election campaign, by mobilizing young people, particularly those with disabilities. The objectives were: 1. Raise awareness among European candidates: Ensure that candidates in the European elections are aware of the specific issues faced by young people with disabilities, whether they are students, young professionals or citizens. 2. Organize civic and cultural encounters: Create a space for dialogue between young people (with or without disabilities) and political decision-makers through debates and eloquence competitions focused on inclusion. 3. Promote civic engagement: Encourage the active participation of young people in the organization of these events, in order to strengthen their citizenship and civic commitment. 4. Widely disseminate European disability issues: use social networks and the internet to raise awareness of European issues and disability challenges among a wider audience. In short, the project aimed to amplify the voice of young people on issues of inclusion and disability in the context of the European elections, while fostering their civic engagement and raising awareness among political decision-makers.
