Objectives

By implementing the "Proud of Our Traditions" project, we seek to achieve several objectives and achieve various achievements, including enabling young participants to discover, understand and celebrate their own cultural traditions, thereby strengthening their pride and cultural identity . We wish to bring together young people from the municipality of Bras Panon, representing the diversity of the local population, to promote inclusion, mutual understanding and social cohesion. We aim to provide opportunities for skills development in leadership, communication, project planning and teamwork to young people who actively participate in project preparation and implementation. We prepare young participants for an enriching intercultural experience in Belgium by subsequently organizing a "youth exchange" with our Belgian partners, helping them to develop adaptation and intercultural communication skills. We encourage young people to strengthen their cultural identity by exploring and showcasing their traditions, thereby helping to preserve local heritage. We facilitate collaboration and links between young people from different neighborhoods, different municipalities, young people from specialized structures, thus strengthening social cohesion at the local level. We educate the local community about the importance of preserving and celebrating cultural traditions to strengthen collective identity. We encourage other young people to get involved in similar projects, explore their traditions and take an active role in their community. We support the objectives of the European Youth Dialogue by promoting participation, inclusion and intercultural learning. By pursuing these objectives, our project aspires to create a positive impact on the young participants, to strengthen the social fabric of the local community and to contribute to a broader vision of youth engagement, both at local and European level.
