The project was designed to address several major issues facing young people today: barriers to socio-professional integration, difficulties in accessing civic engagement, and the under-representation of young people in cultural life. It aims to encourage the active participation of young people, particularly those with fewer opportunities, by offering them a concrete and structured path to engagement, focused on artistic creation, cooperation, and personal development. Through the co-construction of two major cultural events (a hip-hop dance show during the Paris men's basketball team's off-time at the Adidas Arena in front of 8,000 spectators and broadcast simultaneously on Betclic Elite TV) and a music festival bringing together 20 emerging artists, as well as the collective production of a podcast on careers in culture, the young participants are placed at the heart of the process. They are not simply beneficiaries but actors involved in all stages of the project: design, organisation, implementation, dissemination and evaluation. These projects thus become powerful levers for the development of cross-disciplinary skills, useful both in personal life and in a professional career. The project's objectives are divided into several areas: 1. Promoting inclusion and diversity By bringing together young people from a wide variety of backgrounds, including first-time participants, former civic service volunteers, JAMO volunteers, young artists, and young people facing difficulties in integrating into society, the project seeks to create a dynamic of mutual support, appreciation of differences, and solidarity among peers. This diversity also allows young people to identify with the experiences of other young people, break down self-censorship, and strengthen their sense of legitimacy in getting involved. 2. Developing personal, social and professional skills The project aims to help participants acquire a range of skills, including teamwork, project management, communication, critical thinking, creativity, leadership, autonomy, initiative, stress management and a sense of responsibility. These skills are developed through practical workshops, reflection and self-assessment, and active participation in the project's concrete actions. 3. Responding to the challenges of socio-professional integration By involving young people in professional activities such as event coordination, cultural mediation, audiovisual technology, logistics management and community management, the project opens up new career prospects, facilitates the identification of transferable skills and enhances employability. The creation of the podcast, in particular, offers a concrete opportunity to explore cultural professions, which are often difficult to access, in an immersive and creative way. 4. Encouraging civic participation and engagement Enabling young people to take action, defend their ideas and cooperate, while raising their awareness of the values of solidarity, cooperation, inclusion, tolerance and democracy. 5. Promoting a culture of sustainability Sustainable development is a cross-cutting theme of the project, conceived as a mode of governance and an educational tool. From the outset of the project, young people are made aware of ecological issues, the environmental responsibility of cultural events, and sustainable practices: waste reduction, eco-design, soft mobility, responsible communication, etc. This approach enables them to think critically about the impact of their actions and to create events that embody the values of a desirable future. It also empowers them to organise responsible initiatives independently in the future. 6. Create a progressive engagement pathway Offer a structured pathway enabling young people to gain confidence and skills, moving from experimentation to concrete action. 7. Strengthen collective and regional dynamics Mobilise a network of local actors to anchor the project in the region and promote cooperation between young people, institutions and cultural structures. 8. Anchor the action in a European dimension Link actions to European tools and values, opening up opportunities for young people to engage in international mobility and engagement.
