Objectives

Through the ROULÉ JEUNESSE project, we aimed to achieve the following objectives: Strengthen young people’s active participation in local life by creating spaces for expression, consultation and co-construction, enabling them to transform their ideas into concrete initiatives. Develop young people’s autonomy and empowerment by supporting them throughout all stages of a project (idea generation, planning, implementation and evaluation), so that they become active actors rather than passive beneficiaries. Promote inclusion and equal opportunities, particularly for young people with fewer opportunities (rural youth, socially isolated young people, school dropouts, NEETs), by reducing financial, social and territorial barriers to participation. Reduce territorial isolation, especially in the rural and geographically isolated area of Tévelave, by ensuring regular outreach actions and strengthening local youth work presence. Encourage youth-led initiatives in various fields such as culture, environment, citizenship, digital engagement, sports, health and leisure activities. Promote environmental awareness and climate resilience, by involving young people in concrete actions related to environmental protection, recycling, sustainable behaviors and ocean preservation. Develop digital citizenship and critical thinking, addressing issues such as cyberbullying, online reputation, responsible use of social media and prevention of digital-related risks. Raise awareness about health and prevention, particularly regarding addictions (tobacco, screens, risky behaviors), through open and non-judgmental dialogue spaces. Promote gender equality, ensuring balanced participation and, when necessary, creating safe spaces that encourage girls’ involvement and self-confidence. Strengthen young people’s transversal competences, including teamwork, cooperation, communication skills, project management, public speaking, creativity and sense of responsibility. Reinforce local partnerships, embedding youth participation within a sustainable territorial network involving public institutions, associations and community actors. Institutionalize and sustain a participatory approach within the organisation, improving youth support methods, evaluation tools and long-term engagement strategies. These objectives aimed to establish a sustainable youth participation framework aligned with Erasmus+ priorities on inclusion, democratic participation, environmental sustainability and active citizenship.
