Objectives

Accès-Libre. "Unity is strength". We want to show young people in the disadvantaged neighborhoods of the Paris region that by uniting around a common artistic project, they have every interest in overcoming inter-neighborhood tensions and gang conflicts linked to the territory. By using urban music and rap as an educational tool to mobilize young people, by relying on some twenty local partners equipped with suitable infrastructures, and by entrusting the reins of the project to the young people themselves to propagate it within their networks, we aim to bring together over 200 young people aged between 15 and 25 from priority neighborhoods. In concrete terms, the young people will set up a production team that will criss-cross the Paris region to collect, record, film and photograph young artists from the neighborhoods, who will prepare their musical performance on the theme of preventing brawls. Each performance will be filmed, mixed, edited and broadcast on the project's web pages and networks, and shared by the participants. A video clip and documentary, produced by the young people themselves, will retrace all the stages of the project, from its genesis to its completion, and will also be broadcast on the Internet. A media campaign and a series of photo exhibitions with their inaugurations will accompany the dissemination of the project's audiovisual productions. Drawing on its experience of youth work in difficult neighborhoods, its knowledge of non-formal education methods and its foothold in the music production world, the Autarcie productions association will mobilize a network of local partners to support the young participants by guiding them and providing them with production tools and a methodology that will facilitate the realization and success of the project. In this way, the young people will develop their self-confidence, their autonomy, feel valued, reflect on their position within society, raise public awareness of the phenomenon of brawls, develop their social and digital skills, develop their professional skills by following all the stages of a musical production project, and encourage solidarity and inter-neighborhood mobility among young people.
