Objectives

The idea behind our project is to create a training programme on European construction using theatre for 10 young people aged between 14 and 19 who are far removed from European issues. The result will be a show on the history of European construction. The training process is punctuated by 3 key events: "performance-debates" involving interaction with an audience made up of young people, youth workers and local politicians. Based on encounters, dialogue, discovery, knowledge and information, these 3 key moments are designed to enable the audience to be active and participative. The aim is to familiarise the young people who attend the Maison Bleue with the European Union, its institutions, history, values and issues and promote the non-formal education mobility opportunities offered by the Erasmus+ programme The five specific objectives of our pathway are: -Raising awareness of the European Union: The first objective is to familiarise young people with the European Union, its institutions, values, history and current issues. The aim is to create a knowledge base on the history of European integration. -Developing intercultural understanding: Using theatre to explore Europe's cultural diversity. Encourage young people to understand and appreciate different European cultures, by acting out stories and situations that reflect this diversity. The aim is also to work on the articles of the Declaration on Human Rights, discovering and interpreting them through theatre. -Reinforce communication and expression skills: Through theatre, help young people to develop their skills in communication, public speaking, active listening and artistic expression. This prepares them to express themselves and debate European issues constructively. -Promote civic engagement: Encourage young people to become active and responsible citizens of the European Union. Encourage them to think about how they can get involved in European projects, local initiatives or EU-related civic activities. -Create a play about European citizenship by telling the story of European integration
