Objectives

The project was submitted to address clearly identified needs among young people and professionals working in the fields of education and youth. In particular, the project responded to the need to strengthen awareness and understanding of environmental and climate-related challenges. Its objectives included enhancing knowledge of individual and collective carbon footprints and promoting responsible and sustainable behaviours in the context of the climate emergency. It addressed specific gaps, notably the lack of accessible, innovative and age-appropriate educational resources, as well as the insufficient integration of issues related to natural resource protection & sustainable development within formal and non-formal education systems. Furthermore, the project responded to the need for strengthened transnational cooperation to facilitate the exchange of good practices, the alignment of educational approaches and the development of shared tools at European level. Hero 3.0 addressed these challenges through structured digital educational content, an online learning platform and international cooperation activities, fostering youth engagement and the development of key competences for their personal, social and professional futures.
