The project "Future green leaders" aimed to bring together young individuals from five diverse European countries. This program wanted to create a collaborative platform where participants can explore and discuss important topics such as (eco)activism, protection of the environment, and sustainable development. Due to the pressing need to address the environmental crisis, eco- activism has gained more attention and followers during the past few decades. Eco-activism is important because it goes beyond simply defending the environment. By giving everyone the chance to express their concerns, it also makes ensuring that some people are not disproportionately affected by environmental degradation. Therefore, eco-activism is not just about the environment; it is also one of the most effective means of bringing about social and political change. The main objective of the project was to raise awareness of climate change and other environmental problems between young people and to empower them to use their skills and talents for creating change in their local and also the international community. Specific objectives of the project were: - to raise awareness about the importance of active participation in protection of the environment; - to encourage young people to take an active role in their communities and become environemntal change-makers; - to exchange experiences, ideas and best practices among youth from different countries to promote international collaboration in addressing environmental challenges; - to create minimum 5 workshops/actions related to eco-activism that will be organised in participating countries after the mobility; - to inform the youth about opportunities available to them through Erasmus+ and other European mobility programmes.
