Objectives

The participants implemented this project to learn how they could contribute to creating more peaceful, tolerant and inclusive communities. All partners came from communities affected by war and conflict, where young people had to cope with the lasting consequences of the wars in Yugoslavia during the 1990s. These consequences were significant, including the destruction of social capital, deep mistrust of others and institutions, local violence fueled by hatred, and similar issues which are the main reasons for implementation of this project. The project's objectives were: 1. To increase tolerance and inclusion. 2. To enhance the potential of young people to serve as building blocks for developing peace in their communities. Additionally, the project addressed several key needs, including: - Encouraging more active youth engagement. - Fostering greater tolerance and inclusion in local communities. - Improving mediation skills to resolve conflicts. - Developing capabilities to build long-lasting, stable peace.
