In 2021 and 2022, the young members of 21 Nap Egyesület implemented a local Solidarity Project called KIKAPCS in Békéscsaba. During the project, they saw that the idea of playing games moved a lot of young people and there were hundreds of participants in their events in total. They could reach out to people who had certain social obstacles that could be bridged by playing games. So the young people doing these events started to realize that young people like to play games. During international projects, the members of 21 Nap Egyesület met others who were also passionate about playing games. They exchanged contacts and started building the partnership for this project, the main thing connecting the organizations being the passion for games. More experienced youth workers and facilitators also joined the planning. The participating organisations of the project collected the needs of young people that could be connected to playing games. They collected and analyzed their answers. Based on the needs, the following objectives were formulated. The first objective was to improve the key competences of participants with the help of games. The project achieved this by providing a wide range of games and non-formal educational workshops for participants, where they could develop themselves and by integrating Youthpass into the project so that the participants had a chance to efficiently reflect on their learning outcomes and record them. The second objective was to familiarize participants with the European Union's values and workings. This was achieved by raising awareness about the values of social inclusion and environmental protection, learning about the workings of the EU, advancing digital transformation and creating an intercultural setting where international connections were made, bridges were built and diversity was celebrated. The third objective was to utilize game elements in building positive habits and sticking to them. This was achieved by learning about gamification and implementing it in participants' habits.
