Objectives

Why Did We Carry Out This Project? The limited resources of our planet have led the world of science to search for solutions for many years. If the existing systems and approaches continue, the risk of irreversible damage to ecosystems grows every day. The recent environmental disasters have created awareness on this issue and caused people to pay more attention to sustainability. We are all aware that people need fertile soils, clean water and oxygen to live a healthy life. However, the competitive landscape caused by today's economy and the ambition of some individuals and companies to make more profit are increasing the damage to nature despite positive developments. Ensuring sustainability is a topic that encompasses many disciplines, from engineering to science, sociology, law and communication, and is addressed in various dimensions. Problems such as environmental pollution, ozone layer depletion, global warming, climate change, reduction of ecological diversity, acidification, unplanned consumption of water resources have become common challenges for all countries of the world as a result of globalization. Furthermore, global poverty, financial instability, epidemics, wars, migration, urbanization and noise pollution are all issues that need to be managed worldwide. Whilst local solutions are produced to mitigate and control these negative impacts, global solidarity and universal approaches are also of great importance. For this reason, measures to be taken through global cooperation and international agreements play a critical role in preventing or controlling these damages. Our primary objective in this project was to raise awareness of our participants on green transition, recycling, green skills, and sustainable environment. Furthermore, participants were encouraged to apply and share their knowledge on these issues with other young people. In this way, we contributed to strengthening the awareness and action steps necessary for a sustainable future. Scope and Requirements of Green Transition The Green Transition refers to a comprehensive set of policies and measures implemented by the European Union to combat climate change and achieve a sustainable future. This transition envisages major changes in various industries such as energy, transportation, industry, construction and agriculture. The green transition also involves the development and dissemination of new technologies. These technologies aim to reduce environmental effects through significant advances in fields such as renewable energy sources, energy efficiency, zero-emission transportation systems and sustainable production methods. This process generates new job opportunities and requires the restructuring of existing jobs. This brings about the need for a workforce with a variety of new skills and competencies. Objectives Achieved Objectives of our project covered a wide range of issues to support environmental sustainability and stimulate economic growth. Especially, efforts have been made to create awareness on the need to take important steps in the development and dissemination of green technologies, the protection of nature and the efficient use of resources. Development of Green Technologies: One of the focal points of our project is the design and implementation of environmentally friendly technologies. This includes fields such as innovative solutions to improve energy efficiency, low-emission transportation systems and sustainable production methods. These technologies aim to both reduce environmental impact and create economic opportunities. In this context, by implementing our project, we have contributed to raising awareness about these issues. Efficient Use of Natural Resources and Energy: Even more efficient use of natural resources and energy is a critical step to reduce environmental impacts and prevent resource depletion. To achieve this objective, our project aimed to develop and implement resource management strategies, emphasizing the importance of raising awareness on this issue. Increasing Green Skills and Awareness: We have achieved our objectives of raising awareness of our participants on green skills and understanding the importance of environmentally friendly practices. In this sense, they were enabled to learn about the positive effects of green transition and recycling on our world and to spread this knowledge to their environment. We have contributed to raising awareness of Erasmus+ and Youthpass. In conclusion, in line with these objectives, our project has contributed to a comprehensive impact not only in environmental but also in economic and social aspects.
