Previous studies showed that sexual education programs for children and young people positively impacted societal issues like gender equality and mental well-being. Recognizing the lack of holistic sexual education in many countries, we created a youth exchange project with a comprehensive learning program, supported by professionals like psychologists and sexual therapists. The program aimed to break taboos around discussing sex, enabling young people to ask questions about topics such as safe sex, relationships, gender, and the human body in an open and supportive environment. Relationships played a key role, teaching participants about building healthy connections, ending unhelpful ones, and better understanding their needs. We also emphasized inclusion and diversity, aiming to educate youth on creating safe, inclusive communities where everyone feels free to express themselves. The program supported participants' personal growth by encouraging self-expression and open communication. As an Erasmus+ initiative, the project highlighted the benefits of Erasmus+ programs and aimed to inspire future partnerships and projects, potentially extending the impact of this youth exchange. The objectives of our Sexpression youth exchange were: -To understand other people’s cultures and backgrounds -To support the personal development of the participants by learning the importance of self-expression and feeling free to communicate that -To prepare the youth how to build inclusive communities -To provide holistic sex education from multiple aspects -To promote the importance of healthy relationships and give guidance how to establish and keep them -To raise awareness on the importance of open communication in all cases -To create a safe space for self-reflection, discussion, and exchange of ideas and experiences. -To promote diversity, intercultural dialogue, and intercultural learning, developing a sense of unity through diversity within the EU, thereby promoting social inclusion and solidarity. -To promote the Erasmus+ program, EU common values, and participation in future activities through the use of nonformal education while promoting its recognition through the YouthPass.
