The PLAYADR project aimed to provide youth workers with the knowledge and skills to use educational games as tools for teaching Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). The project addressed the need for innovative learning methods to help young people understand conflict resolution, mediation, and negotiation. By engaging in non-formal education, participants learned how to apply ADR techniques in real-life situations, fostering peaceful communication and cooperation. The project’s main objectives were to improve youth workers’ competencies in ADR, create an interactive and engaging learning environment, and promote international cooperation among organizations. We aimed as well to develop the PLAYADR Toolkit, a collection of games and methods that make ADR concepts accessible to youth workers across Europe. Through training sessions and collaborative learning, participants enhanced their facilitation skills and contributed to the wider use of non-formal education in conflict resolution.
