The main aim of the programme was based on the observation and experience that national minorities in the partner countries have different possibilities to represent themselves, their organisations or the interests of national communities. This is mainly due to the fact that different countries have different interpretations of the system of minority rights and obligations, so that while in one country national minorities have more opportunities, in another they have fewer. However, one thing is certain. All national minorities in the partner countries face similar challenges and difficulties, which is most evident in terms of advocacy, which is why we decided to make this the mainstay of the project. thanks to the openness and outstanding professionalism of our partners, this has resulted in a very meaningful and professionally exciting joint work and product. We believe that the knowledge gained from this project will provide the participants and the organisations with a sound basis for more effective advocacy, especially now that they know exactly what their options and rights are. Active citizenship as such is of course not only important and a priority in your own country, but also in the European Union as a whole, so our project served several purposes. A secondary aim of our project is to raise awareness of cultural diversity and how our participants can use this to achieve even more successful advocacy in their own countries. How have we done this? 1. We have strengthened the capacity of youth organisations to promote youth participation in the project theme 2. we have tried to encourage youth organisations to think in global and local terms, at local, national and international level 3.
