Our Association aimed to implement a non-formal, experience-based training programme to support youth workers with fewer opportunities, particularly those working in rural areas, by strengthening their mental and physical well-being. The common goal of the workshops held at three different locations was to enhance participants’ self-awareness, sense of vocation, and professional competences, with special emphasis on communication, teamwork, leadership, health-conscious lifestyle, and creative self-expression. The project combined both national and transnational dimensions, thereby creating an impact at the regional level as well. It specifically addressed the objective of the 'Small-Scale Partnerships' action by providing quality training opportunities for youth workers who face limited access due to geographical or economic barriers. Another important aim was to foster collaboration between participants that could serve as the basis for future European-level partnerships. The project was implemented along the priorities of Erasmus+, promoting Inclusion and active European citizenship, thus contributing to sectoral quality development and the realisation of the long-term strategic goals represented by our Association.
The project was implemented as part of a regional professional strategy launched in 2021, initiated by our Association to support youth workers operating in rural or isolated communities in the Central-Eastern European region. The success of our Small-Scale Partnership project completed in 2022, which pursued similar objectives, reinforced our commitment to expanding its impact and reaching a broader segment of the target group. Our team's primary goal was to implement non-formal, experience- and play-based training courses designed to enhance participants' professional skillsets as well as their self-awareness, building upon the partnership’s decades-long expertise in TiE, personality development, community building, and lifestyle improvement. In addition to aligning with the Erasmus+ priority of Inclusion and Diversity, our project promoted the preservation of mental and physical well-being, thereby contributing to the goals of the 2017 Tartu Call. The wider range of youth reached by the participating youth workers, as well as the potential for long-term cooperation between the partner organisations, contributed to the sustainable embedding of the programme’s results and the preparation of further international projects.
