Objectives

The 'Bring the Legend to Life' project took a unique approach, with participants immersing themselves in the legends and myths of each partner country - Bulgaria, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Spain, Sweden and Greece. Greece, a treasure trove of legends, was chosen as the project's location due to its rich history and numerous suitable sites. It provided an authentic backdrop that enhanced the participants' study of the partner countries' legends. Participants in the "Bring the Legend to Life" project set the following objectives for the implementation of the project: *Cultural Revival: To revive and preserve the local legends and folklore of the various partner countries so that they would not be forgotten and would be passed on to future generations. This contributed to the preservation of cultural heritage and its uniqueness. *Youth Involvement: The project sought to involve young participants in creative activities related to cultural heritage. The goal was to spark interest among youth in their country's culture and partners, promoting active participation and participants' leadership qualities. *Cultural Awareness: Increasing participants' awareness of the value of their cultural heritage and developing a sense of pride in the cultural traditions of their country and other project participants. *Interdisciplinary learning: Encouraging participants to explore cultural heritage through various disciplines such as history, art, workshops and performances, promoting a deeper understanding and appreciation of cultural aspects. *Inclusiveness: Involving participants from different backgrounds and national groups to promote intercultural understanding and cooperation. *Collaboration Networks: Create collaborative networks between organisations for a holistic approach to cultural heritage conservation, contributing to the long-term sustainability and development of the project. *Sustainability: Implement environmentally friendly methods of preserving cultural heritage and community participation in long-term preservation. *Youth Empowerment: Through active participation and ownership of their heritage, youth participants developed leadership skills, increased confidence, and may become future cultural preservation advocates. These goals aimed to achieve specific results within the "Bring the Legend to Life" project and develop a conscious attitude towards cultural heritage and its significance for society. The partners' project implementation was driven by a shared commitment to addressing issues of cultural erosion, lack of awareness and the need for youth participation in preserving cultural heritage. Thus, the "Bring the Legend to Life" project had clear objectives: to revive local legends, attract young participants, increase cultural awareness, promote interdisciplinary learning, and make a lasting impact beyond the project's boundaries. Partners and project participants, when summarising the results and answering the questionnaire, noted with pride that the project's objectives were successfully achieved during its revision implementation. "Bring the Legend to Life" project, participants studied the legends and myths of each partner country in more detail - Bulgaria, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Spain, Sweden and Greece. Greece, the wealthiest country in Europe, has legends, so it was decided to conduct the project in Greece, where there are many suitable sites. The atmosphere itself will help the participants to better immerse themselves in the study of the legends of the partner countries."Bring the Legend to Life" project contributed to the European Cultural Heritage Strategy for the 21st century (CM/Rec(2017)1).
