The project aimed to raise awareness about the challenges faced by LGBTQIA+ young people across Europe and surrounding countries, empower participants with theatre-making tools to express their stories, and create a network of solidarity and inclusion for LGBTQIA+ youth and their allies. Through this, participants would be motivated to challenge negative perceptions and stereotypes in their communities while encouraging creativity, self-confidence, and active citizenship. The project aimed to highlight the challenges and issues faced by LGBTQIA+ young people across Europe while expanding understanding of LGBTQIA+ rights, legislation, and the unique struggles in different regions. By equipping participants and their allies with theatre-making and devising tools, the project provided a safe space for self-expression, where they could share their identities and stories freely, building self-confidence, leadership, teamwork, and creative skills. It also focused on creating a sustainable network of solidarity and inclusion for LGBTQIA+ youth across Europe, connecting it to the previously developed PRISM project community. Participants were encouraged to challenge negative perceptions and stereotypes within their local and national communities while using the theatrical tools they gained to advocate for equality and raise awareness. Through theatre and film, the project promoted creativity, artistic expression, and social engagement, encouraging intercultural dialogue, solidarity, and active participation in democratic life. The ultimate goal was to empower LGBTQIA+ individuals and their allies to feel supported and inspired to take meaningful steps toward challenging societal perceptions and improving inclusion in their communities.
