This project was designed to give opportunities to young LGBTQI+ young people to learn new competencies, to allow them to use their voices and to empower them to be who they are and speak for what they need. The young people involved have all had struggles with their identity and how they have been treated due to this and they have all had mental health issues related to their sexuality. All of the young people at different times have spoken about the lack of mental health services in their areas and the lack of mental health support for a group of young people who have been proven to struggle more with their mental heath and this project was designed to allow these young people to look at this and to see if they can draw comparison or learning from another country in terms of the services which are available for mental health sufferers and LGBTQI+ young people. This project was designed to initiate the start of a youth advisory panel for youth services.
