The objectives of the project were to strengthen the democratic awareness of young people and to correct the age-related democratic deficit. Towards the overall goal, three sub-goals were set: (1) To hold a campaign aimed at educating the public about the democratic deficit. (2) To hold a conference where young people were given the opportunity to further educate themselves and to express their views. (3) To hold a briefing where the results of the conference were shared with politicians in the hope that the bills that have been presented in parliament would be put on the agenda and the voting age lowered. The project also aimed to pressure the government to implement the vision of young people in accordance with the European Youth Goals.
