Objectives

The project aims to structure a process through which young people aged 14 to 17 can acquire self-awareness and increase the soft skills necessary to relate to the topic of psycho-physical well-being in a more conscious way. The path is structured to deal with the youth, individual well-being and social well-being relationship in a multidisciplinary and circular way, starting from self-awareness, in its individual dimension, to subsequently investigate the collective dimension and focusing on the sense of community and civic responsibility, in reference to 5 of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda: 10-reduce inequalities; 11- sustainable cities and communities; 12- responsible consumption and production; 13- fight against climate change; 17- partnerships for goals. The designed path intends to touch on different perceptive and expressive levels, through a non-formal educational approach and "learning by doing" techniques thanks to which participants will develop new skills and increase soft skills. such as self-awareness, active listening, empathy, intercultural dialogue and teamwork. This will guarantee the pursuit of one of the project objectives which aims to increase the emancipation and self-esteem of young people and which will facilitate positive interaction with people from different contexts. The approach, transversal to the entire path, will be oriented by the continuous search for awareness of one's own perception of well-being, and the continuous intertwining of the physical and psychological dimensions, as well as the individual and collective levels. The objective of the path, in fact, will not only be to inform about mindfulness methodologies and sustainable life models. Particularly important will be the development of a new perspective that allows to think critically, to dissect the topics and investigate them, to let a thought evolve in the light of intercultural exchange and dialogue.Precisely for this reason, it is necessary that team leaders are not only facilitators, but also participants, in a path of equal education, where everyone can feel supported and driven. What we intend to achieve in this project is to build a cultural exchange that gives participants the opportunity to listen to themselves and accept themselves, allowing conscious choices and a kind and welcoming approach also towards the "other". To increase these skills, the project will dedicate a lot of time to sharing, also accompanied by a cultural mediator who will be present in the most delicate moments of coexistence and discussion. From direct example, young people will learn mediation and conflict transformation techniques that will help them investigate the conflict they experience in their relationships with themselves and with others. In this sense, this path will be functional to a co-planning experiment, based on knowledge of the topic covered and on critical thinking born from collective reasoning and training debate. The exchange involves the acquisition of greater awareness regarding psycho-physical well-being and sustainable life models, both at an individual and community level: particular focuses will be dedicated to the exchange of experiences between partners on sustainability issues and actions; listening to one's needs and investigating the links that exist between individual and collective well-being, fundamental for the development of personal identity and a sense of community. The soft skills acquired will be put into practice within a co-project experiment to be implemented in the exchange area. Participants, in fact, will have the opportunity to feel an active part of the process. We share the idea of exchange as an opportunity to learn about new practices and have the time and way to become aware of one's needs, desires, abilities and skills. In this sense, co-design moments hold enormous potential. Knowing that their ideas and thoughts become part of a project writing process made the participants proud to give their contribution. At the end of the exchange, each partner will develop a project idea that can serve to convey the experience just gained in the different countries. We believe that in this way, in addition to strengthening the sense of belonging to the project, we can promote moments of diffusion of the Erasmus programme, thus increasing curiosity and the desire to take part in this type of initiative.
