Objectives

The project was born out of the awareness that our societies are facing increasingly complex challenges: we live in an ever-expanding intercultural context, which is unfortunately often accompanied by social conflicts and integration difficulties. In addition, the growing spread of poverty and inequality carries a high risk of marginalization. Young people, in particular, often feel disillusioned and skeptical about their future due to the lack of job opportunities and effective tools to cope with unemployment. In this context, social entrepreneurship emerges as a key resource: it can contribute not only to improving young people's employment prospects but also to building more inclusive and supportive communities. This is where the idea for the youth exchange Take the Lead came from — with the aim of strengthening young people's employability, skills, and interest in their future through an entrepreneurial approach. Throughout the project, we combined creativity, personal development workshops, and practical tools that can support young people in their career paths, with the goal of shaping individuals who are ready to face the challenges of the working world with innovation and confidence. The main objectives included: Promoting the active participation of young people in social entrepreneurship, with a special focus on rural and less developed areas in the partner countries; Educating participants about the characteristics, values, and success factors linked to entrepreneurship; Providing a collaborative and multi-stakeholder approach to the topic of social entrepreneurship; Introducing young people to the concept of social enterprise and the values that support it; Encouraging the exchange of national resources and promoting awareness of European tools useful for the development and sustainability of social enterprises, such as training, access to funding, and networking opportunities.
