The Mind Care project was developed with the aim of addressing the needs of young adults between the ages of 19 and 24, who are facing a period of life characterized by many challenges and changes. This phase is often accompanied by high levels of stress resulting from academic pressure, career choices, social relationships, and societal expectations. In addition, the increasing use of social media has raised concerns about its impact on mental well-being, self-esteem and self-perception. The project aimed to create a safe and collaborative learning environment where participants could develop skills to manage stress in a healthy and sustainable way. Through a series of structured activities, Mind Care promoted mental health awareness, encouraged self-care, and provided practical tools for coping with daily difficulties. Main goals of the project 1. Destigmatize mental health: Mind Care fostered an open and unprejudiced dialogue about mental well-being, raising participants' awareness of the importance of taking care of their psychological health. 2. Encouraging stress management: Practical techniques for coping with daily pressures were offered, such as mindfulness sessions, yoga, relaxation exercises, and nature-based activities. 3. Promote reflection on the use of social media: The project offered participants the opportunity to experience a period of detachment from social media, to analyze its impact on their level of stress and well-being. Activities implemented and impact on participants Each day of the project focused on a specific aspect of stress, such as self-confidence, self-image and social relationships. Participants had the opportunity to explore and practice stress management strategies through mindfulness exercises and collective reflection moments. In addition, a digital self-care book was produced, containing stress self-assessment tools and useful mental health contacts in the participants' various countries. The active involvement of young people was a key element of the project. In addition to participating in workshops, they conducted preliminary research on the effects of stress and facilitated some sessions, thereby increasing their sense of responsibility and participation. Through their experience with Mind Care, participants gained greater awareness of the causes of stress and strategies for managing it effectively. They developed useful skills for dealing with both personal and professional challenges and gained a greater understanding of the influence of social media on mental health. Finally, the publication of the mental health self-assessment manual had a positive impact on local communities by providing practical tools and accessible resources for managing psychological well-being.
