Objectives

The issue of waste management and recycling is one of the most important issues faced by modern societies. Rapidly increasing population and consumption habits further deepen environmental problems, increase waste production and lead to rapid depletion of natural resources. Therefore, effective implementation of waste management is necessary for environmental protection and sustainability. Our project was implemented to raise awareness on managing waste without harming the environment and to contribute to raising awareness on the efficient use of natural resources. Our project covered the processes of collecting, transporting, processing and disposing of waste. In each of these processes, it was aimed to reduce waste production, encourage recycling and use harmless disposal methods. Recycling is a critical component in waste management and offers important benefits such as protecting natural resources, saving energy and reducing environmental pollution. Our project aimed to increase consumer awareness and to prefer sustainable products. In addition, the protection of natural resources is of vital importance for future generations to benefit from these resources. Thanks to our project, we have contributed to raising awareness on the conscious use of natural resources and to developing awareness on combating waste. Our project aims to create economic benefits while ensuring environmental sustainability. This approach in waste management aims to both protect natural resources and leave a clean environment for future generations to benefit from. Waste released into nature as a result of human social and economic activities, especially plastic, medical, nuclear and metal waste, causes environmental pollution and destroys the beauty of nature. 8 million tons of plastic waste thrown into the seas every year causes a total of 150 million tons of plastic to accumulate in the seas, which endangers the lives of marine life. This waste leads to soil pollution and inefficiency. Therefore, recycling awareness should be urgently engrain in society and environmentally friendly behaviors should be adopted. In this context, our project aims to create awareness on recycling, reducing waste and limiting resource consumption as a solution to the problems we have identified within the scope of our project. Therefore, information was provided on how to recycle plastic, metal, glass and paper waste. In this way, participants were able to learn how to evaluate waste with small processes. Objectives 1- Contribution was made to increasing awareness about recycling. 2- Contribution was made to increasing the awareness of our target audience and participants about recyclable materials. 3- Awareness was made of our target audience and participants about the damages that waste materials cause to the environment and living things. 4- Awareness was provided for environmental protection and awareness was created about the importance of protecting nature. 5- Contribution was made to increase the knowledge and skills of our participants. 6- Participants were enabled to concretize their learning outcomes. 7- The development of our participants' English communication skills was supported. 8- Intercultural knowledge and awareness was increased. 9- Contribution was made to eliminate prejudiced attitudes. 10- Contribution was made to increase the Erasmus+ project experience of our partners. 11-Our participants were provided with experience in Erasmus+ projects. 12-Our participants were provided with the opportunity to learn in cooperation. 13-Our participants were supported to learn different cultural values. 14-Our participants were provided with the basic competencies regarding the Youthpass Certificate.
