The "Building Bridges: Connecting Communities" project was developed in collaboration with six partner organizations and with the active involvement of their respective target groups. The primary objective was to foster the social inclusion of young people from diverse sociocultural backgrounds by promoting their active participation and strengthening their self-esteem through non-formal educational activities. A central element of the initiative was the international youth exchange, which took place at the San Francesco family home in Castagnetoli, in the heart of the local community, which welcomed and actively participated in the project. The project was divided into several phases (preparation, implementation, dissemination), each of which pursued specific objectives: Strengthening young people's skills, abilities, and attitudes, with particular attention to those facing greater difficulties and fewer opportunities; Promoting active citizenship, intercultural dialogue, social inclusion, and solidarity, supporting quality youth work and cooperation between youth organizations; Increase the international dimension of youth activities and the capacity of youth organizations to support young people through mobility and collaboration; Cultivate an appreciation of diversity as a resource and a positive value for communities. All activities were based on non-formal education, with a focus on experiential learning, active participation, peer exchange, and individual and collective reflection.
