S.T.O.R.I.E. – Stories and Trails of the Resistance In Europe was a Youth Exchange designed to explore the memory of the partisan resistance and connect it with contemporary narratives of migration, civil struggle, and rights. The project promoted active reflection on the concepts of freedom, oppression, and resistance through an experiential approach based on walking, storytelling, and direct engagement with symbolic sites of historical memory. The main objective was to build a bridge between past and present, encouraging participants to recognize in collective history the tools to understand current challenges: war, migration, environmental crisis, antispeciesism, and new forms of youth activism. The project aimed to counter the notion-based teaching of history by valuing immersive, collective, and non-formal learning methods instead. Among the specific objectives were: promoting the method “REC – Record and Walk” as a tool for learning through walking and creatively narrating lived experiences; fostering critical thinking and political awareness among young people; encouraging intercultural dialogue and cooperation among groups from different socio-geographical backgrounds; and spreading values related to sustainability, social equity, and freedom as a shared common good.
