Objectives

The project “Sustainable Artwork: Youth Workers for a Greener Future” was created to address global environmental challenges through a universal and creative language: art. The core idea is that drawing and painting can become tools of non-formal education, capable of raising awareness among young people and local communities on the topic of sustainable development. The reference context is the growing urgency to promote concrete actions to fight climate change and to encourage more responsible behaviors at both individual and collective levels. Within this framework, youth workers play a key role as multipliers of knowledge and good practices in their respective territories. The main objectives of the project were to: Promote environmental awareness among young people and youth workers, fostering critical reflection on global sustainability challenges. Develop artistic competences by providing participants with the opportunity to acquire new drawing and painting techniques to visually represent environmental themes. Strengthen international cooperation, creating an intercultural environment for exchange and dialogue among youth workers from different European countries. Empower youth workers to integrate artistic expression into their daily work with young people, using art as an educational and inclusive tool. Encourage the exchange of good practices in combining art and sustainability education, ensuring that project results can be replicated in other contexts. Engage local communities through public exhibitions and dissemination activities, generating a concrete impact beyond the circle of direct participants. In summary, the project aimed to combine environmental education, creativity, and European cooperation, reinforcing the role of youth workers as drivers of cultural and social change towards a greener and more sustainable future
