"Words Matter: Media Literacy Lab" developed youth workers’ media literacy skills, giving them the chance to develop projects and activities aimed at helping young people to be responsible users and disseminators of media content, with the aim of promoting inclusivity and non-discrimination. To achieve this goal, our OBJECTIVES were: - Develop a solid foundation of media literacy principles and practices - Enhance participants' critical thinking and source evaluation skills - Teach participants to identify and combat misinformation and disinformation - Promote responsible media consumption and use, and developing digital citizenship - Provide participants with knowledge, resources, and tools to engage with and create responsible media content, and for media literacy youth activities - Empower participants to be informed and media-savvy individuals
