Objectives

The project has successfully achieved its goals, engaging young artists and professionals from Italy and Spain in music sector training and development. Participants gained new skills, visibility, and networking opportunities. Impact was significant in three areas: knowledge (over 50 hours of training), opportunities (showcases, festivals, events), and relationship building through international stakeholder interaction, fostering intergenerational dialogue and influencing future plans. Key results include the creation of a toolkit and guidelines, a flexible training model adaptable to local contexts, involvement of over 40 young people in Turin, Seville, and Pavia, and identification of 8 emerging professional profiles for future training. The project also strengthened EU-level dialogue between music and cultural organizations. Though communication ended with toolkit distribution, partners hope to continue sharing materials to expand the network and inspire collaborations based on _reHUB+.

Background

We submitted the _reHUB+ project to address the growing need for structured support in the music sector, focusing on young people under 30. Despite the cultural and creative industries being among Europe’s fastest-growing sectors, youth employment and retention of qualified workers remain critical challenges. Our goal was to tackle two main issues: the lack of professional and entrepreneurial skills among emerging artists and the fragmentation of networks and opportunities, which hinder access—especially for disadvantaged youth. _reHUB+ responded with a strategic plan to promote employability in a precarious sector, equipping young talents to manage independent careers. The project combined academic knowledge and practical expertise to create a scalable, replicable training model validated by research and fieldwork. We emphasized often overlooked skills like management, planning, and administration, crucial for labor market access. Beyond individual growth, _reHUB+ strengthened local and international networks, fostering a more inclusive and sustainable music ecosystem. Now concluded, the project has laid foundations for future impact through its tools, network, and tested capacity-building model.
