Mental health concerns are an increasing concern for young people across Europe. Following are some data on the mental health of European youth: In Europe, one in four young adults (aged 18 to 25) encounter mental health issues. In Europe, suicide is the second greatest cause of mortality among adolescents. The most prevalent mental health issues among European adolescents are depression and anxiety. In a recent poll of European adolescents, 43% reported feeling anxious, and 28% reported feeling lonely. There are huge differences in the mental health outcomes of young people across Europe, with some nations reporting far greater rates of mental health disorders than others. In recent years, the demand for mental health services has increased in many European nations, resulting in lengthy wait times and restricted access for some young people. As young people, we, together with our partners and participants, conceived this initiative after experiencing the effects of mental health difficulties. Young people are feeling increasingly uneasy and concerned about the future as a result of the global changes we are seeing. Because of this, we conceived up the "Invisible Strings" initiative. During lengthy talks on the topic with the participating groups, we have noticed the following difficulties: Firstly, there is a stigma around mental health issues among young people, although the younger generation is more willing to disclose their mental health issues. Second, not everyone can afford treatment or professional assistance because it is not covered by health insurance in some countries. Finally, not many individuals are aware of alternate methods for maintaining their mental wellbeing Our initiative focuses on teaching various mindfulness practices, such as yoga and meditation, to assist participants become more self-aware and learn how to take care of their health. We have designed a two-step project because it is not an easy process. The first phase focuses on raising awareness of various concerns and understanding about the elements affecting our mental health. The second part focuses on more sophisticated ways that might assist us in achieving inner peace. The objectives of our project includes: - Becoming more aware of our mind and body - Learning about different factors, impacting our well-being - Discovering various ways for self care - Creating a habit of integrating mindfulness practices in our daily life - Breaking down taboos and stigmas related to mental illnesses - Learning to establish healthy coping strategies to manage stress, anxiety and depression - Improving our quality of life by self care
