Objectives

The main goal of the project was to equip youth workers with universal facilitation skills that can be easily applied in work with young people on different topics, whether it be motivation, social issues, lack of critical thinking etc. The need of such project was raised while analysing current state of professional development of youth workers which showed that youth workers need regularly work on professional development and improve own skills. This was complimented by a survey carried out by participating organisations in preparation phase in which youth workers stated that they are lack of tools which allow develop sense of creativity, active involvement of participants in learning processes. Also they expressed the idea that universal tools that can be applied with different target groups and ages would strengthen their professional skills. In this light we had drawn our project's objectives, which were fully achieved by designing a programme and tailoring needs of youth workers. The objectives of the project were: 1. to acquaint participants with key features of facilitation as a skill, with a focus on 21st century skills - This objective was reached by building strong theoretical foundation on facilitation. 1.1 Participants were introduced/reminded about the meaning of facilitation and how it is linked to 21st century skills, with an example of World Economic forum where facilitation covers 5 out of 10 top skills for 2025. 1.2.
