Objectives

Our "Youth in Art Unity" project initiative have addressed issues of social exclusion that our young members experience and observe in society, which usually found to disproportionately affect marginalized groups such as immigrants, refugees, LGBTQ individuals, rural residents, and economically disadvantaged communities. Studies indicated that these challenges were often rooted in factors like ethnicity, religion, socioeconomic status, and disability. In response, the Council of Europe had encouraged Member States to use youth organizations to promote inclusion through targeted services. Our project idea were born to make a change in our society in this point. Therefore, in our project we have decided to utilize the art expression, including music, dance, theater, handicrafts, and painting to create dialogue, raise awareness, build community unity and combat stereotypes and prejudice. Our activities have aimed to empower participants by fostering self-expression and promoting tolerance. Our initiative designed to cultivate intercultural dialogue and mutual understanding among young people from diverse cultural backgrounds through shared artistic activities in a multicultural environment. Our project’s key objectives that we worked to achieve : - Engaging 40 participants from five nations in artistic endeavors to enhance intercultural dialogue. - Enabling six partner organizations to adopt art as a tool for social inclusion. - Promoting Erasmus+ and EU opportunities for youth empowerment and connection. - Supporting newly arrived Ukrainian refugees and migrant youth through capacity-building programs. Through these efforts, the project fostered European cooperation among partner organizations, facilitating the development of practical tools for youth empowerment. It also contributes to the EU Youth Goals 2021-2027 by addressing the inclusion of marginalized groups and building solidarity through art.
