The project, created by Gabriel, Eva, Emma, Clara, Max, and their mentors, aims to address a critical gap they've observed among young people in their community, primarily around effective communication of ideas, needs, and concerns. They've identified that while many young people have valuable insights and perspectives about their surroundings, there’s a struggle to share these thoughts effectively, leading to a loss of potential. The primary objectives were outlined after detailed research, including board meetings assessing alignment with organizational missions, and online surveys to understand the youth's challenges, aspirations, needs, and preferences. The project focuses on helping organization understand the realities, needs, and communication preferences of the youth, thus enabling them to adjust their approaches and methods more effectively. The three core objectives of the project, to be achieved over 17 months, are: 1.Engage and teach min. 60 young people how to identify problems and needs of youth in their community, how to form and express their opinions as well as how present the needs to the decision makers and public, during the 17 month of the project 2. Raise awareness about identified community issues among at least 200 community members and present findings with actionable recommendations to a minimum of 12 local decision-makers. 3. Engage and educate at least 200 community members about the importance of active citizenship, volunteering, and community participation through campaigns, events, and workshops, within the 17 months of the project. These objectives are anchored in the broader goal of creating safe spaces for the youth, where they can openly discuss problems, share opinions, seek guidance, and interact with community leaders and decision- makers. The project aims to enable the youth, especially those marginalized, to have a sense of belonging and to get involved in active community participation, enhancing their soft skills and allowing them recognition beneficial for their future careers.
