The main goal of our project was to empower young people by providing a unique learning experience focusing on their personal growth, employability and ability to engage as active citizens. We wanted to go beyond the usual limits of traditional education and equip participants with essential skills such as problem solving, critical thinking, communication, teamwork and self-awareness. These skills aren’t just important for finding work but they also are vital for navigating life in general, yet they are often not part of formal education systems. By creating a safe and supportive environment, we encouraged participants to step out of their comfort zones, reflect on themselves, build resilience and gain the confidence needed to take charge of their own futures in today’s globalized, competitive world. This project also aimed to support the objectives of the Erasmus+ program by focusing on inclusion, creativity and innovation in learning. We placed a strong emphasis on reaching out to young people with fewer opportunities, particularly those from rural communities, to make sure everyone could access high quality, non formal education. The project also tied in closely with the EU Youth Goals for 2019–2027, especially Goal 7 (Quality Employment for All) and Goal 8 (Quality Learning), by offering participants meaningful opportunities to develop new skills, boost their self-esteem and contribute positively to their communities. The project is also linked to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It aimed to help young people build practical skills needed for employment, entrepreneurship and decent jobs (Target 4.4). At the same time, it promoted sustainable development, gender equality and cultural diversity (Target 4.7). By focusing on empowering marginalized groups and young people from rural areas, we also addressed the goals of social inclusion and cohesion (Target 10.2). Additionally, participants engaged in eco-friendly practices and learned ways to adopt sustainable habits as part of their daily lives. Another part of the project was encouraging intercultural exchange and building international networks. Participants took part in activities designed to help them adapt, collaborate and communicate with people from diverse cultural and social backgrounds. These experiences encouraged them to embrace diversity and work together effectively, helping them develop not just as individuals but also as global citizens. This intercultural understanding also aligned with broader goals of fostering active citizenship and reinforcing a sense of European unity. Lastly, the project aimed to raise awareness about European Youth Programs and motivate participants to take what they have learned back to their local communities during the dissemination phase. By introducing them to the possibilities within Erasmus+, we hoped to spark inspiration and action. Participants were also encouraged to adopt eco-conscious practices, such as reducing energy consumption and sorting waste, to help promote a more sustainable way of life. Ultimately, the project was about giving young people the tools, confidence and inspiration to take ownership of their futures, make meaningful decisions and drive positive change in their personal and professional lives.
