---- The key words of our project were courage, acceptance and empathy. Even when the topics we discussed were uncomfortable or difficult. The aim of the project was to encourage conversations on taboo topics, taking into account the different backgrounds, religions and cultures of young people and their different expressions, thus promoting mutual understanding and respect between different communities. Through the project activities we wanted to improve young people's communication skills, including helping them to open up to express their feelings and thoughts, giving them the opportunity to express their concerns and experiences using their unique skills and talents, and to "speak" the language of art. We want to encourage young people to express themselves and to seek help in tackling taboo subjects. By ensuring open conversations, we aimed to create a safe and open environment where young people felt free to openly share their thoughts and concerns on taboo topics. We wanted to reduce discrimination and its consequences related to topics that are difficult for young people to talk about, such as mental health, relationships, sexuality or cultural differences, thus promoting inclusion and acceptance by society. By providing accurate information and knowledge and organising open discussions, we aimed to dispel myths and stereotypes. We prioritised young people's mental health, emphasising physical and emotional well-being, encouraging open conversations on sensitive topics such as depression, childhood trauma, relationships with parents and more. By sharing personal experiences through personal narratives on taboo topics, our aim was to help young people understand each other, find like-minded people and better understand the different. We wanted to create awareness that they are not alone in their inner feelings or concerns. Our overall aim was to create a more inclusive, informed and empathetic society that values open conversations and respects different perspectives on sensitive topics. We believe they are essential to address and remove taboo topics, while fostering youth engagement and development through the qualities of non-formal learning, as well as encouraging interconnections, relationships and exchanges among young people.
