Objectives

The project "Health is Your Wealth" aimed to address the growing addiction problem among young people by promoting a healthy and mindful lifestyle. The primary objective was to raise awareness about the risks and consequences of substance and behavioural addictions while equipping participants with the knowledge and skills to prevent addiction and promote well-being. By implementing this project, we wanted to foster personal and social development among participants, enhance their communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities, and promote intercultural dialogue. The project also aimed to empower young people to take active roles as advocates for healthy living in their communities and beyond, addressing challenges such as peer pressure, mental health issues, and a lack of accessible support systems. The project aimed to tackle addiction issues by focusing on both prevention and awareness, particularly among teenagers aged 13-17. Through non-formal education methods such as workshops, discussions, and outdoor activities, we wanted to help participants develop life skills and coping mechanisms to resist peer pressure and make informed decisions about their health and well-being. Topics like mindfulness, food and sugar addiction, alcoholism, social media overuse, and substance addiction were explored, offering a comprehensive understanding of the challenges young people face. Another important goal was to promote inclusion and diversity by involving participants with fewer opportunities, such as those facing geographical or economic barriers. Creating a safe and supportive environment encouraged participants to celebrate cultural diversity, develop empathy, and foster mutual understanding. Through collaboration with international partner organizations, the project also strengthened cross-border cooperation and aimed to leave a lasting positive impact on the participants and their communities, inspiring long-term initiatives to promote healthy and addiction-free lifestyles.
