In project application we addressed three objectives: 1) To gather existing methodologies and develop innovative physical youth game methodologies from local communities in the partner countries; 2) To prepare new specialists capable of working with the methods developed through this project; 3) To implement the practical phase of the project by spreading the newly developed methodologies and collecting feedback on them. Throughout the project, we successfully achieved these objectives. We used our game “Pārnesums” as a foundation and created additional scenarios, upgraded the equipment, and played the game in various locations across both partner countries. This allowed the difficulty level and strategy of the game to adapt to different settings. We also trained new specialists who learned about the methodology and how to facilitate the game. They applied this knowledge by organizing sessions with young people at both local and international levels. This has not only helped to spread the method but also strengthened existing youth communities and supported their growth.
We applied for this project because we saw that young people need support, active communities, and meaningful things to do in their free time. About five years ago, young people in our organization started organizing physical activities like team games and workouts. These activities brought other young people together, helped them improve themselves, and slowly created strong, supportive youth communities. Later we created a special game called "Pārnesums" through a European solidarity corps project. This game helped young people stay active, feel better mentally, and connect with others. It showed us how powerful such activities can be. We wanted to grow this idea further by running more activities, training new trainers and making materials so this method can be used in more places and more people. Our game combines physical activity, teamwork, and mental health support in a fun and accessible way and its not just exercise, but a way to build a leadership skills, work in team and be active - with this project we wanted to spread it more, Lithuanian partners liked our project idea and wanted to learn this method too.
