Through this project, 28 young women and girls from Bitola and the surrounding areas gained valuable theoretical knowledge that enhanced their understanding of the political system and encourage them to consistently utilize democratic tools, thereby increasing their political maturity. Additionally, they learned about antigypsyism and how to identify it in the actions of state authorities. The project also offered them the opportunity to visit the Municipality of Bitola, and they also participated in preparing public information requests and budget proposals with expert guidance. This initiative was particularly important for this group, as it not only motivated them but also broadened their knowledge, which will have a ripple effect beyond the 28 participants. In the medium term, the project aimed to contribute to a general increase in political culture among the wider population in the municipality of Bitola. Objectives of the project: - Enhance the political maturity of young women and girls by providing theoretical knowledge of the political system and democratic tools. - Raise awareness and understanding of antigypsyism and its manifestation in state authorities' actions. - Offer practical experience through direct engagement with local governance, including visits to the Municipality of Bitola and involvement in preparing public information requests and budget proposals. - Motivate and expand the knowledge of participants, thereby contributing to a broader increase in political culture within the Bitola community.
