Our aim was to equip young women with leadership and advocacy skills and to provide youth workers with tools to promote gender equality and women’s empowerment in their local communities. The project also sought to build transnational cooperation and share best practices among youth organizations from Lithuania, Malta, and Sweden. Through this cooperation, we aimed to create sustainable resources and networks to continue promoting women's empowerment beyond the project’s duration.
We applied for this project because we identified a strong need to empower young women across Europe, especially those from disadvantaged or migrant backgrounds, by developing their leadership, advocacy, and participation skills. Despite progress in gender equality, many young women still face barriers to leadership roles and active civic participation. Youth workers and educators also needed practical tools and training to better support young women in their personal and professional development. The project addressed these needs by fostering collaborative European learning and providing accessible educational resources.
