By implementing this project we aim to support our young participants in their self-development and mental well-being. We believe that slowing down, self-reflection, and building their own supportive and inclusive space together guided by various non-formal education tools and methods is the way to start this journey in their lives. The BASIC CONCEPT of our project is improving the social skills and soft skills of our participants while supporting the presence of an active youth life and building sustainable learning communities. An out-of-doors experience through which people can refresh themselves and get energy for something new. We seek active relaxation; this means: reflecting, sharing the impact, and revealing our true and authentic selves. We see that all humans, young people included, have their own talents and self-development tools that should be shared with the world in order to create confidence and strong self-esteem. In order to share, the group also needs to create connections. In this project, we offer content and context for self-development and community learning, thus the participants can create learning opportunities for themselves. The project consists of a preparatory meeting, youth exchange, and dissemination phase with the partner organizations. One beautiful thing about this project is the way we work with learning by doing - there is no theory without practice. We believe this is the way to invite young people to explore the techniques and methodologies. The main OBJECTIVES of the project: - to bring together 42 young participants (most of them facing fewer opportunities) for the outdoor youth exchange to support their personal development; - to use positive psychology through which we focus on encouraging our participants to discover their character strengths and use them in various situations; - to improve the soft skills of young participants and offer tools that help their mental well-being and self-development; - to offer the experience of putting their own ideas into practice while being responsible for a big part of their learning process; - to share embodiment, coaching tools, and self-reflection techniques via unique learning experiences, so that the participants can learn and create a meaningful experience for themselves; - to create at least seven local community events/gatherings as a follow-up; - to evaluate the learning experience through 42 Youthpasses and specifically designed questionnaires; - to promote context-based and outdoor education. Future objectives (in line with the Quality Standards and Erasmus+ objectives): - to offer a high-quality experience and personal growth opportunity for youngsters (while supporting the expansion and capacity-building of their organization as well); - to build a community of young participants – supporting one another and learning together from each other; - to inspire young people and to promote active participation by creating a high-quality project; we believe that participants' active commitment to the project will be an inspiration for others in their organization and local community; - to create a constant learning cycle that involves theory and implementation; through the project phases, our participants will have the opportunity to learn and practice, thus creating sustainable results; - to spread the outcomes through dissemination activities, thus inspiring and supporting a wide number of youth workers and organizations all over Europe; - to use various theories and practices from different fields in order to enrich the toolkit of our participants and to bring innovation to the field of youth work.
