Our project addressed the pressing issue of hate speech, both online and offline, targeting minority groups in Europe. Our common observation and idea related to lack of EU-level legal measures against hate speech and hate crimes was the starting point of our project. In order to support Council of Europe's "No Hate Speech Movement" campaign to combat online hate speech, we aimed to raise awareness and combat hate speech by utilizing dance as a powerful medium. Because we believed dance is universal, discrimination-free art form that could convey messages effectively. Together with our partner organizations we shared our passion for using dance to combat hate speech. Based on these needs, our project's objectives were to enhance participants' understanding of hate speech within the context of cultural diversity, discrimination, tolerance, freedom of expression, and human rights through dancing activities. Our project sought to improve participants' skills to combat online hate speech, discrimination, and racism while promoting cultural diversity and intercultural dialogue, motivating them to actively engage in their communities. We aimed to contribute to the quality improvement of youth work, foster cooperation among organizations in the youth sector, and promote positive developments in addressing hate speech and related issues.
