Objectives

The We Are Trees project holds a multi-faceted approach to contribute significantly to the development of youth work, promoting quality, innovation, and well-being. It aims to create a lasting impact not only on participants and partner organizations but also on local, regional, national, and European levels. 1. Quality and innovation of youth work: by equipping youth workers with essential facilitation skills and a practice-based learning approach, we empower them to provide high-quality, innovative learning experiences for young people; these skills will enable them to design and implement programs that resonate with their target groups, enhancing the overall quality of youth work. 2. Physical and mental health, well-being: the project's focus on outdoor education and nature-based facilitation inherently promotes physical and mental well-being; the participants will experience the positive effects of nature on personal growth and mental health, gaining tools to incorporate these benefits into their youth work; additionally, the project promotes inclusivity and addresses the well-being of young people facing diverse challenges. 3. Development of training courses: this project doesn't stop at training participants alone; through the project's cascading approach, the participants become trainers themselves within their organizations and networks; this creates a multiplier effect, expanding the reach of quality training courses and facilitating the development of more youth workers; these trainers will, in turn, design and deliver courses that reflect the project's innovative methods and practices. 4. Local and regional impact: the immediate impact of the project will be felt at the local and regional levels; the participants and partner organizations will introduce inclusive and impactful youth initiatives within their communities, enhancing youth work quality and reach; the ripple effect of these initiatives will lead to more engaged and empowered young people, fostering a culture of active participation. 5. National and international influence: on a broader scale, the project aims to influence national and international youth work practices; through its promotion of practice-based learning, inclusivity, and outdoor education, it can serve as a model for other organizations and projects; the sharing of promotional materials and best practices will help spread these innovative approaches, elevating youth work across borders. 6. Network building and knowledge exchange: the project's emphasis on building a community of youth workers creates a platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration; this network will extend beyond the project's duration, facilitating ongoing dialogue and cooperation among youth workers, organizations, and stakeholders; this sustained engagement will drive innovation and enhance the quality of youth work in the long term. In summary, this project is poised to make a significant contribution to the development of youth work by promoting quality, innovation, inclusivity, and well-being. Its impact will extend across different levels, ultimately fostering a more enriching and empowering youth work landscape in Europe and beyond.
